Some people love to watch a horror movie and some of them just skip the movies with genre horror thriller. So, the solution is a horror movie with comedy.

I do a little research that Thailand horror movie loves to creates a horror-comedy movie. They produced some of the movies with horror-comedy genre and this is a unique character that they have as the way they create horror movies. They were consistent in creating this genre combination.

Not only Thailand, but some of the Japanese horror movies also do the same things and it works for people like us. But, I would like to suggest you a movie from Thailand that have greatly memorable is “Pee mak”. This movie is old but gold. This movie showing all 2 wins awards and 15 nominations. This movie wins the ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards 2015 as the Winner Special Jury Award and Asia-Pacific Film Festival 2013 as the Best Art Direction by Arkadech Keawkotr.

This movie is talking about a man whose name is Mak. He served in the war during the beginning of the Rattanakosin Dynasty. At war, he became friends with Ter, Puak, Shin, and Aey, whose lives he saved. Once the war was over, Mak invited his four friends into his home in Phra Khanong town and introduced them to his beautiful wife Nak and his newborn baby boy Dang. A rumor was going around in the village that Nak had died giving birth to her stillborn baby, Dang. This rumor very famous, make people in his village full of fear. When Nak was singing to Dang, her voice will be heard by people around the village and this all haunted people around. The conflict starts when one of the four’s friends of Mak finds a skull and he assumed that Nak has died. After that, they prove that the ghost is Mak and the four friends told Nak and they were planned to go outside the village.

In the middle of the way, their boat was overloaded, they should throw away unneeded stuff. And then Mak approves that he is not a ghost. So they think if Nak or Mak is not the ghost, who is the ghost then?. They found that Aey is the ghost, they throw Aey to the river then. After that they find that the real ghost is Nak, she can take her hand in long, hangover herself in reverse, and the other impossible things to do as a human. They felt it's time to tell Mak the possibility of Nak and Dang could be dead and lingered as haunting ghosts and risk their lives. It's up to Mak to choose love or reality. It is hard for Mak to leave Nak.

At the end of the story, Mak deciding to live with Nak and his friend. The plot is a very hard scary story because the genre is horror-comedy its easy to catch the plot and the part that contains the most horrific scene not that scary. The balance of horror and comedy is half to half.

On the other hand, this movie not contains jumps scare, only the moving camera or point of view that supporting by the back soundtrack. And you can relate to this movie because the culture as the Asian and Nak looks here not that scary as the ghost as we imagined.
